ESC Refund Policy

11U-18U Select

At Elkhorn Soccer Club (ESC) our focus is developing the player and the person. Our largest budget items include, league fees, indoor training, facilities maintenance, and club administration.

Only requests for refunds as a result of season-ending injury or illness will be considered by Elkhorn Soccer Club (ESC). These will be considered on a case by case basis. Refunds will not include team fees assessed by the team, which should be handled directly with the Team Coach and Team Manager. Refunds will only apply to season-ending injuries or illnesses.

ESC will consider the following when reviewing a request for a refund:

  • One-third of any fee, seasonal or annual covers fixed Club overhead and is not considered reimbursable
  • The remaining two-thirds of player fees cover variable and ongoing expenses and are considered to be the refundable portion of player fees
  • The ‘refundable’ amount will be divided by the typical 8 week season and any refund amount will be prorated based on when the player’s injury occurred during that timeframe
  • Winter training fees for United teams are non-refundable
  • Select Players up to U14—the season will be considered 10 months
  • Select Players U15-U19—the season will be considered 8 months
  • Refunds will not be considered after March 1

In order to be considered for a refund, ESC will require a currently licensed physician’s note stating that the player not be able to play due to said injury, for the remainder of the season. The physician’s letter should include the date of the injury and the best-guess date of return. The licensed physician’s note should be sent along with the request for a refund.

Players and families who have received financial assistance from the Club are not eligible for refunds.

ESC will not provide a refund based upon any philosophical, personality, or curriculum issues concerns and no other situations other than those mentioned above will qualify for a refund.
